Bridge the gap (back to school 2016/2017)

GIHA Foundation, has set out to “bridge the gap” between education and illiteracy. Conscious of the fact that education is the main pillar of all forms of positive growths, we thought it wise, to see in to it that some underprivileged children follow their mates to school this year. It is against this backset, the foundation organized a “philanthropic back to school” campaign this august. The elementary aim was to raise funds, to aid some identified underprivileged children, to accompany their peers to school.

This gesture, first of its kind, brought together local artists from within Batibo sub division, and lovers of the foundation in and out of Batibo. Other artistic and craft men, with educational interested were also present, to join their voices to advocate for “education for the underprivileged”. The event was lubricated with speeches from resource persons, CEOs of partner NGOs, artists, and arts works from Nobel arts entertainment. Funds raised from the event, will be used to sponsor at least four children back to school, considering the basics they need.

A similar event is already planned for same time next year, for same purpose, and the foundation is expected to double the number of beneficiaries, and reach the disable ones as well.

Good enough to know, five new members who volunteered to work with the foundation were received. To make it formal, they provided the foundation with their personal information, as they in scripted their names in the volunteer book

GIHA foundation owes great thanks to all who made it to the event, and contributed morally and financially toward this initiative. The updates of the end results of this initiative will be published once done.
