Revitalizing the Livelihood of Young Single Mothers Conference Update.

Trying to address issues of great concern in our society today is far fetched, why? Because we fail to seek and get to understand the root causes of these problems.

Single parenthood which is trending nowadays is very challenging most especially in vulnerable and underserved communities. It is a call for concern because it has been observed to be the root cause of many other problems in the society today; creating psychological, social and economic difficulties.
For this reason GIHA Foundation have as goal to positively impact the lives of Vulnerable Single and Teenage mothers as a means of bettering their livelihoods as well as promote the realization of some Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs).

Aiming to host 40 of these mothers, a conference was organised this Jan 2020, which finally had 72 young single mothers in attendance. This only make up about 8% of the total population in the NW region.
Its a journey which began some 3 years back and is moving ahead to give hope to the hopeless.
We say a big thank you to VAHA and the entire host of other partners who worked with us to make this start up phase a reality.
